Historical thematic maps can help you see links between events that happened in different places and at different times.
Romance languages: comes from Latin, which was the language spoken by early Romans. Other romance languages include:
French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, and Spanish.
According to map on PG 10, the Romance languages are generally spoken in Central and Southern Europe.
The Romance Languages spread through Europe by means of the road and trade network that was part of the Roman Empire.
